What boxes should I use?
Believe it or not, boxes have a massive impact on how efficient a house clearance can run. In retrospect, say if you were on carry a large amount of small fragile items in an oversized, unprotected package then it would not only waste resources, but time and risks your possessions being potentially damaged without the appropriate organisation.

Boxes types are dependant on the contents and the duration you plan to store your possessions. For example, cardboard boxes are a highly used box type for storage because they are cheap, easy to use, recyclable and simple to label. However, for long-term use, we recommend using alternative box types because cardboard can easily be damaged by conditions, especially whilst being held in a storage unit.

Speciality boxes are targeted for withholding valuable and fragile items that need to be handled with care and close attention which are ideal for picking up awkward storage that could easily shift about including TVs and decorations. Although they are more expensive than cardboard, speciality boxes are worth the value with security and convenience of moving.

Box sizes vary on the size and amount of items you wish to store whilst considering the weight of the size and the contents of the box.

Small boxes are ideal for packaging small heavy possessions that too awkward to carry with larger box sizes and works very well for withholding fragile items including glasses and plates, however keep in mind you need to wrap small fragile items with extra protection such as plastic wrap.

Medium boxes work perfectly when storing larger, lighter items including toys, clothing, and pans as they make for organising storage units a whole lot easier, but make sure not to over-pack the boxes with an excessive amount of items.

Large boxes are suited for carrying items that are heavier to carry and use items such as blankets or pillows to line larger boxes because they can be difficult to organise multiple items into one box due to elements including their awkward shape that make it annoying to fit. You should try and obtain highly thick boxes when storing larger amounts to protect against cracks because otherwise heavy items may fall out and damage items during your moving process.
